KO TAO "TURTLE ISLAND" THAILAND

Ko Tao - is an island located in Surat Thani southern part of Thailand. Koh means "Island" and Tao means "Turtle" so some of Thai people called it the Turtle Island.

This Island are very quite and peaceful, not crowded and very romantic place, that's why people from America and Europe spent their Honeymoon in this Island.

a lot of beautiful beaches from side to side. the food are delicious but a little bit pricey. there are 7-eleven, restaurant,bars,and some shop for souvenirs. unlike in the main land, more people can speak English in the island because of the tourist.

THINGS TO DO:

1: Sairee Beach for party - at night most of the Tourist go to Sairee for party, drink, disco,and watch a fire dance beside the beach. this place has the best night life in the island.

2. Snorkeling and Diving - this island has the most beautiful and largest spot of under water adventure. a lot of beautiful reefs and thousand of fish schooling for snorkeling and diving. and they have the best PADE school for diving.

FRIENDLY REMINDERS

The Taxi Fare- taxi fare in this island is very expensive, like a minimum price of 500 baht per ride due to they are not using meter. their taxi are not normal, they are using a 4x4 Truck because the road are raft and upside down. i recommend to rent a motor bike if you know how to drive. it cost only 250 baht per Day.  or some hotel has their free shuttle going to the island center but it has time schedule. 

THIS PLACE IS SANCTUARY

Doing island activity in this place is such a good experience, meeting new friends, learning there culture,the people are friendly, unforgettable parties.

this Island is amazing. i definitely going back to Ko Tao.
